WHAT EXACTLY IS IT? WHAT I DID OR BELIEVED

You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.

James 2:22

For this morning's devotion I want to talk about faith and actions. There is an account in the Bible where the woman with the issue of blood who had been bleeding for many years was healed. So the Bibles account in Luke 8 said she touched the hem of Jesus garment and was immediately healed. The bible then goes on to say Jesus told her to go in peace because it was her faith that made her whole. But now...as I begin to think...I asked myself....if she touched Jesus' garment why did he not just say...'go I have healed you?' Are you with me? Cuz she did touch him. What Jesus said to her is 'her faith' healed her. So was it what she believed or her act of faith? James 2:22 tells us faith is made complete by what you do. So it is not enough to believe what God says about you. You must complete the action that God said. Because just like the woman healed with the issue of blood ...what began in faith was completed in her actions. She actually proved her faith in what she knew Jesus could do which manifested her healing. How many of us are stuck in faith? How many of us are letting our internal bleeding and issues stop us from reaching the remedy scripture has prescribed. How many of us are leaving our faith on the shelf and are now upset at God? My friends, it's only when you act on what God told you, that you will begin to see what God told you manifest. Today is a great day to not only believe...but act on what you believe. Remember you are justified by your faith. Today is a great day to step out into your Jeremiah 29:11 and start doing! I prophesy strong faith in who God says you are and what God says you can do. I speak even more grace.
